Baby News

Well done Edith and Steve who welcomed their baby son David into the world on 16 October 2001 with a weight of 8lb 12oz. I have been asked by Edith to thank all of you for the gift that she got from us.

Ullapool

A big thank you to Tracey for all the hard work in organising the superb time at the hostel. A brilliant pub crawl and karaoke night. Well done to Moira for getting her knee down (what do they mean?) sounds like she had fun, have to fund out about this later. Everyone wants to do it again next year.

Meeting at Letham Farm House

We had a talk about club dues and it has been decided to increase these to £10 pa. We know this is a bit of a hike but we hope this is OK as we need to cover the costs of this lovely newsletter. The next meeting will be held on 19 November at 19:30 at the St Johnstone Club in Barrossa Street in Perth.

Helen's Birthday Party

Helen is going to be entering her 5th decade on this earth and wants to celebrate in all our company (can't think why) on the 21 December. Helen will send out invites nearer the time.

Dance

We are having a joint dance on 4 January 2002 at the St Johnstone Club in Barrossa Street in Perth with the Tay Valley MCC. Tickets cost £5 per person and are available from Hillary. There are only 150 ticket available, so get in quickly.

Christmas Night Out

It's going to be late again this year (lets us all recover our own partying first). It will be on 2 February 2002 and full details of what we are doing will be discussed nearer the time.

Wedding News

Congratulations for Fiona and John who are tying the knot on the 1 March 2002. Also, happy 25th wedding anniversary to Moira and Hector.

Weekly Runs

We are going to keep meeting on Monday night when we start the runs again next season. Hopefully we may be able to get some longer runs in this time and perhaps even a day at the weekend that would suit most people. It has been suggested that maybe some of the newer girls would like to go out together on a different night as we all know it can be quite scary out there with folk going too fast for their own ability or trying to keep up with everyone else.

Also, has anyone got any ideas of how we can get information on the weekly runs passed onto the people who come from afar so they can meet us on the run instead of having to come to Perth first.

Fireman

Hilary has a great photograph of a rather nice (or should that be small) fireman the girls met in Ullapool. Contact Hilary for a viewing.
