Lossiemouth What can we say about Lossiemouth? It was brilliant, great, fantastic, and one of the best laughs for ages. It was raining heavily almost all the time (as expected I suppose) but that made no difference and we had a braw run with no mishaps. Dianne, you are one of the greatest, not everyone would have driven all that way with a leg that is pinned and has a cage on it but it was worth the effort as you seemed to enjoy it (at leas I hope so). I must confess to getting lost on the way home (I ended up heading for Aberdeen) so I apologies to all those who were worried about me. I had a cracking run home mind you...
Going out... We have lots of new members this year so we are going out every Monday night and every second Wednesday night. The Mondays are faster but great fun. Wednesday is more sedate so we enjoy the scenery a little more. Hopefully there will be more folk coming on the Wednesday runs as there is always room for more practice and you can go at your own speed (I will catch up eventually). As a matter of fact we have been going out almost weekly on a Wednesday night (weather permitting) just for the hell of it so if you want to come along you know where to go, the Triangle at 19:00.
Dance tickets Remember the club dance is on 1st November and there are only 150 tickets available. It is first come first served, see Hillary if you'd like to book your place at what promises to be another spectacular night out.
August meeting There is to be a meeting at The St Johnstone Club, Barossa Street, Perth on 28th August to discuss, among other things, the aforementioned dance. Please come along, we have 52 paid up members this year so lets pack the place out.
Leaving so soon? Sad news. Two of our most popular members are thinking of selling their bikes, Sheila and Alison. I hope you change your minds as if you do go the club will be loosing two very nice people and we don't want that do we? If you do sell up please keep in touch as we will miss you.
Sad news There has been some more bad news I'm afraid. Please be very careful when you go out on your bikes as you don't have to be travelling at speed to get seriously hurt. I am talking about Edd (a member of Tay Valley Bike Club) who was at the roundabout at Fairfield and as he went onto it a car came flying over the bridge at about 50mph and only stopped when they hit Edd. He was very badly hurt but it was lucky for him that there was a nurse and paramedic who live near by and they were able to administer first aid until the ambulance arrived. We all with Edd a speedy recovery.
Thanks Thanks to Billy for taking the caravan all that way up to Lossiemouth for little old me.
