Welcome to all you Lady Bikers This is just to say hello and how are you all ???? I hope you all had the best time over the festive season . It wont be long and the weather will be getting better and the bikes will be back out on the roads again. HURRAH HURRAH we can all go out to play . I would like to thank all of you who took part in the club last season and hopefully we will see you all out again this one. Wednesday nights have proved very popular and we are going to keep them going the way they are. (If it's not broken don't change it) Monday nights from what I have heard are a different kettle of fish. I understand that not everyone can go out, and it is hard for the ones who go every week trying to come up with different routes to go on. And then when it comes round to going on the way you went maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago, there is someone who went there the last time they were able to go out . So I it means that they are going to the. same place all the time (that's no good). Now I don't know how we can fix that but we will have to try or we will lose some of our lady bikers. Maybe if we worked to a schedule or something, then people would know where we were going on each occasion. I know it's a lot of work but I think anything that is worth doing is hard. So any ideas please get in touch with one of the committee and we will see what can be done. We are a LARGE!! Ladies bike club and we want to keep it that way. DON'T WE ????? NIGHT OUT I know you will be fed up hearing about this but we have to get organised for it -and it is always well attended so what do you all want to do ?????? Stay in Perth, go to Dundee, or what would you like to do???? It is your night so give us a shout please and let us know what you want. CONGRATULATIONS To Tilda 's son Craig on becoming a fully fledged paramedic ,Hope we don't need his services but it is good to know he is there. WELL DONE CRAIG. Drysdales Motor Bikes Elaine was saying that the shop is getting extended in. the New year and there is going to be a Ladies Section on the top of the shop . We are going to have our own bit for trying on the leathers and all the stuff that we need and also when it is time for it to get up and running we are getting invited to a special evening of wine and cheese just for us in the PLMCC. We are going to be the VIP guests for the night. There will be an official opening as well, later on. Baby Joy This is for all of you who don't know yet Steph and Les are having a Baby .Yes that's what I said its great news to start the new year on and I am sure you will join me in wishing them all the best. JERSEY TRIP Sorry to do this to you but we will have to put of the trip till next ~ar . The two good things are "that we have more time to save up" and "I have more time to be able to get back onto my bike" So I am not too upset I hope you are all the same ???? still have our annual weekend away to look forward to and we have to decide where that is going to be this year. So any ideas send them in to a committee member and see what the best one is. AGM I know I have told-you this before but the agm is to be on the 9th February at the Plough Inn, Jeanfield Road, at 7.30. So we hope that most of you will try and come to this as it is I an important one to be at. We can sort out any thing that is wrong and keep the things that are right. And we need to know if you are happy with the club. CLOTHES SHOP This might be of interest to some of you and then again it might not but I am going to put it in anyway. Helen Dargie and myself have discovered this great wee shop at the back of the old High Street Clock that takes in your good quality clothes and sells them for you and they take 50% and you get 50%. Now I know that I have stuff that I have bought and never worn or worn it once and then it hangs in the wardrobe till it gets thrown away. They have some really good stuff and a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere. I know there is another one in the Newrow but this is a new one. The name is THE DRESS SWAP designer dress agency. CHRISTMAS PRESENTS -- Now I know I should not be saying this but I nearly wet myself laughing :-) I got Billy an inspection lamp as part of his present and he went out the back of the house to try it out in the dark of course. He put on the large side of it and it gave of a very good light and he was quit pleased. He then turned it round and switched on the small end of it. Well the place lit up like Blackpool Tower and he was amazed at how bright it was. What he did not know was that Belle (his puppy) had walked out into the garden just as he switched it on and she had set of the security light. All I heard was him roaring with laughter and when he came in he had tears running down his face, it was so funny (maybe you had to be there) he said that he was standing there thinking God this is brilliant when it dawned on him what had happened. That's one of the things I love about him, he laughs at himself as much as I do. Good one Billy keep them coming, We had a great time and I hope you all did as well. The kids all got what they wanted and that was the main thing. HOT WEATHER Yes I know that I am a bit quick of the mark but hopefully it wont be long and it will be fine and sunny and the bikes will be on the road again.! live in hope anyway so get them polished up and ready to go. BAD WEATHER Well I was definitely too quick in saying that as it is new years eve and I am sitting looking out of the window at about 3 or 4 inches of snow .At least the gardens all look the same. It is nice to look at and be sitting in the warm just the same. I think snow is so romantic unless you have to go to work in it as I used to. (Here we go) I remember when I delivered videos every night for four hours on my motor bike, and it did not matter if the snow was there or not. You just got the same money as you did in the summer, I did that for five years. (maybe that explains why I have a bad back )1 am just glad that I am not doing that job any more. VISITORS Sue has had her Mum here over the festive season and I think they have all had a good time. Its just a shame she has to go home soon but I hope you have enjoyed your stay in Scotland and that you will be back soon. It is just a shame that the weather has not been very good for you. Anyway have a good journey back home when you go and take care. |
