PLMCC
October 2004 Newsletter
Editor’s Note
Tracey and Rachel have taken over as temporary Editors in Helen’s absence. We all wish you a speedy recovery Helen, and will be thinking of you. Don’t know if we can compete with the usual standard of jokes though !!
We also wish Tina a speedy recovery, as many of you know, she is only just back to her work due to falling off on the gravel on the Strathardle road. Her bike was also written off. It justs shows what a terrible method of surfacing this is for us bikers.
DANCE REPORT
The annual PLMCC charity dance – this was a good night again, and the entertainment by Linton was great – as ever. We made a total of around £1100 for charity, and at the next meeting (25 October) we can all decide on how much will go to what charity or charities. A big thank you to everyone for their support and help on the night, and contributions towards the auctions and raffles. It was also nice to see a few faces that we haven’t seen for a while.
A special thank you to the following companies for their contributions:-
Perth Motorcycles
Drysdales Motorcycles
Weirs Motorcycles
Tesco Edinburgh Road
ASDA
Tayside Industrial Supplies
Speedy Hire Centre
Sportsters
The Sun Studio

BEST WISHES
Helen -
we wish you all the best for your op and a speedy recovery.Kate –for you and your imminent new arrival. No news as at the time of printing this!
Maz – hope you are recovering from your horrible experience too.
To all of us – for a better November onwards. This seems to have been a difficult year for loads of the girls. Here’s to 2005!!!!
Novice Riders
Wednesday nights next year – we will be looking for experienced riders to go on a rota for taking the novice and inexperienced riders in Summer 2005, as the was one of the major issues from the questionnaires, so please remember that many of you are now ‘experienced’ riders too, and it would be good if we could get at least 8-10 volunteers so that people are only committed to one Wednesday per month at the most. This will be drawn up in February or March, prior to runs starting up again.

OTHER STUFF
Next Meeting
is scheduled for Monday 25 October at the Bell Tree, to decide where the monies raised from the Dance are to go to. As there are numerous views on this, several options will be available, and as this may make a straightforward vote a bit difficult, it was decided that a voting slip would be enclosed with the news letter, and rather than voting for only one option, you should put your preference on these in order. A, B and C should be used, where A is your preferred option, B your second, and C your third. (A = 3 points, B = 2, and C = 1), and the option with the highest number of points will be where the money goes! Please see the slip (attached) for further details.ALSO, at the meeting, we are looking for volunteers to take over the arrangements for some of the other planned events, such as the bowling, and the Lazer Quest, so come prepared.
SUE
As many of you are aware, Sue has resigned from the position of Chairperson, which is a great loss to the Club and to the Committee. A BIG THANK YOU for all your hard work Sue, over the last 18 months or so.
(NB. The present committee will take over Sue’s duties between us until February’s AGM.)

2005 – Planned Events
Southerness
The weekend in Southerness is already booked for 24 June, and several people have now sent in their booking forms and deposits (£5.00). Please remember to send yours in to Tracey. Cheques payable to PLMCC, or bring them with you to the meeting in October. We have three caravans again for three nights. It would be great if you could make it too, as those of us who went had a good laugh in 2004, despite the weather. Hopefully, we may even manage a wee run out on the Saturday next time. The lunch stop on the Sunday for those of us who went to Hillary’s friend’s pub in Carsphairn, was good food, and good value, so definitely worth popping back there too!!! If you have lost your booking form, let either Rachael or Tracey Know.
May 15 – BSB at Knockhill. To be confirmed. Could get a group together to go.
Biker’s Abroad
If you are thinking of a trip to the continent in 2005, here are some useful websites that you may want to check out.
www.bikersadvice.co.uk – a site that gives details of biker friendly accommodation in Europe.
www.motobotc.co.uk – special campsites for motorcyclists in Europe.
www.superfast.com – to book the ferry from Rosyth.
www.dfdsseaways.com – to book the ferry from Newcastle.
www.mayflower.co.uk for European bike related events.
Joke time (not sure if this is up to Helen’s standards!!!!!)
A man was eating in a fancy restaurant, and there was a gorgeous blond
eating at the next table. He had been checking her out all night, but
lacked the nerve to go talk to her.
Suddenly she sneezed and her glass eye went flying out of her socket towards
the man. With his quick reflexes, he caught it in mid-air.
"Oh my god, I am sooooo sorry," the woman said as she popped her eye back in
the socket. "Let me buy you dinner to make it up to you."
They enjoyed a wonderful dinner together and afterwards the woman invited
him back to her place for a drink.
They went back to her house, and after a bit she brought him into the
bedroom and began undressing him. The couple had wild, passionate sex many
times during the night.
The next morning when he awoke, she had already gotten up and brought him
breakfast in bed.
The guy was amazed. "You know, you are the perfect woman. Are you this
nice to every guy you meet?"
"No, she replied....
You just happened to catch my eye!"
